Community Tech Hub has a good relationship with Suffolk Police who are very keen to help us educate our community. In this next session we have a double act with our guest speakers as Lauren Spiers (Fraud Protection & Prevent Officer of Suffolk Police) and Paul Miles (Fraud Protection & Prevent Officer of Suffolk Trading Standards).

 

They be discussing the different types of fraud affecting people today, including scams on phones and laptops. They will also cover rogue traders at your doorstep, another form of scamming. Other are areas they will cover:

  • How to spot common scams and understand how they work

  • The origins and tactics used by fraudsters
